Flower plant vendors missing
In 2015 and the first half of 2016, in Panaji, goa there were many flower plant vendors selling flower plants at a reasonable rate usually less than Rs 100. Even if the flowers did not grow or died after a short time, the soil in the pot which they sold was extremely fertile and could be used for growing plants for many more years.
However in 2016, especially after June 2016, almost no flower plant vendor has been spotted in Panaji, Goa. The few who have been spotted are charging a very high rate of Rs 250 per plant and are changing their rate in a few minutes, making it difficult to finalize a deal. In the local exhibitions, usually at Don Bosco, Panaji, only a few vendors are selling flower plants and their prices are highly inflated, often Rs 150 per plant.
There is a good market for reasonably priced plants costing Rs 50 or less per plant. In Mumbai the flower plant sellers who price their plants reasonably are doing good business.
