Bud of hibiscus plant broken

As mentioned, a lot of resources and tax payer money are being wasted to stalk and harass the google competitor after stealing her resume, savings. The latest instance of harassment took place on 10 January 2018. The google competitor had purchased a hibiscus plant in panaji, goa on 6 January 2018 and kept in the balcony. The plant had a number of buds which would flower in a few days, and the google competitor was looking forward to seeing the flower blossoming.
However on 10 January 2018 when she went to water the plant, she found that the biggest bud of the hibiscus plant was broken off. It unlikely that the rat had broken off the bud, as the plant is fairly tall and the rats are only eating ground level plants
Any tips to prevent the breakage of buds of hibiscus plants will be greatly appreciated
